SAW THE RIDE & SAW ALIVE

THORPE PARK, UK

They say you never forget your first time… my first major project and still packing a punch, SAW The Ride at Thorpe Park was the first attraction of it’s kind to fuse a thrilling rollercoaster with a horror film franchise.

Working as a then project designer for the Merlin Entertainments Group, I was responsible for the creative design and onsite art direction of the project.  The following year, SAW Alive opened as a seasonal scare maze attraction as part of the parks Halloween offering.

The ride remains an iconic addition to the UK theme park family. Thrilling and terrifying guests for over 10 years. Upon showing the film director around the attraction on the opening night, he said “It was just like walking onto the film set.” I’ll take that.
